Westie LETS is a project of the West Watford Community Association (WWCA) who successfully applied for a grant from the Big Lottery Fund in 2012 to establish the scheme.

Westie LETS (Local Exchange Transfer Scheme) is a cashless trading system and a way for neighbours to exchange their time and skills using a local “virtual” currency. Residents in Vicarage Ward, West Watford, can give and receive many different services without spending money. Instead Westie LETS has created its own non-sterling currency called “Westies”.

Westie LETS is managed by an Organising Group comprising a small number of local volunteers, all of whom have been DBS checked.

Membership is open to adults aged 18 and over living in Vicarage Ward (see Map) for a small joining fee of £5 which helps cover administration costs. Membership rules can be found here.

If you decide to join Westie LETS, click here and fill in the online application form. Before your account can be activated you will need to pay the joining fee.

If you are already a member of Westie LETS, please log in to the Members Area using your Name and password.  You can then see the full Directory of Goods & Services containing member details and services offered or wanted - and start trading.

If you have any queries or problems, click on Contact Us to send a message to the Organising Group.

Check out  Talk & Trade Meetings if you would like to come along to one of our meetings to find out more.
